Who. Information Engine B.V. (trading as TrooIDs), KvK 88640442, RSIN 864716497, Jan van Galenstraat 27A, 1051KE Amsterdam, info@trooids.com, is the controller for this website.
What we process. Only what you type into the registration form — your name, email address, your segment (individual, organisation, investor) and an optional message — and the time you sent it. We store it in our own store to reply to you. Legal basis: your request (pre-contractual steps and consent). Retention: until we have replied and, if you asked to be kept informed, until you tell us to stop; at most 24 months without contact.
Confirmation mail. After you register, we send one confirmation mail to the address you gave, from noreply@trooids.com, through our own mail server on a server we rent from Hostinger: at most three per address per day, and none when our spam check flags the message.
Spam check. With the registration form we also receive how many seconds the page was open before you sent it, and our server adds a spam score; both are stored with your message. Messages scored as spam are kept apart and not forwarded.
The Ask box. When you use the Ask box, your question (with the last few turns of that conversation, kept only in your open browser tab) is sent to a language model on our own computer, reached through Cloudflare; when that computer is offline, to an open model that Cloudflare runs for us (Workers AI). The answer comes back to you. Neither the question nor the answer is stored.
Choosing a model. In the Ask box you can choose another model. “Our own models in Cloudflare” are two small open models in containers in our own Cloudflare account; they have no internet access and go to sleep when nobody asks. The three larger models (gpt-oss-120b, Nemotron-3 120B, DeepSeek V4 Pro) are open models that Cloudflare runs (Workers AI), reached through our Cloudflare AI Gateway with logging switched off. In every case your question goes to no company other than Cloudflare, and neither the question nor the answer is stored; for the larger models we count how many questions are asked per day — in total, and per visitor under a one-way code of the internet address that changes every day (the address itself is not stored; the counters are deleted after two days) — to cap the cost and keep the larger models available to everyone.
Reception for AI agents. AI agents can talk with our agent at /api/agent/reception or over the A2A protocol at /a2a. The agent answers from this site's knowledge in the same way as the Ask box and can pass the visitor on to a department agent (sales & partners, people & hiring, customer service). We store no conversation, except that over A2A the last turns of a conversation are kept for one hour so that follow-up questions work; then they are deleted. When a visiting agent asks a department to open a case, we store that case (subject, details, the contact it gives, the agent's name and whether its signature checked out) so that a person can reply; it is deleted when handled, and at the latest after 24 months. When an agent signs its requests (Web Bot Auth), we check the signature with its public key; we keep no record of that beyond the case.
Phone connections for AI agents. An AI agent that signs its requests can ask a department agent to connect it by phone with a person at TrooIDs. A person decides first; nothing rings without that decision. If the person accepts, our voice service (Vapi, United States, acting as our processor) calls the person, reads the agent's typed messages aloud and turns the person's spoken answers into text for the agent. The agent only gets a one-time link that expires; it never sees a phone number. We do not record the audio. The text of the call (the agent's messages and the person's words as text) is kept in our call store for at most 24 hours and then deleted; Vapi keeps its own call log under its terms.
Paid questions for AI agents. AI agents get two free questions at our reception; after that they pay with prepaid credits. To keep that account we store an account id (for an agent that signs its requests: the fingerprint of its public key; for an unsigned caller: a one-way hash of its IP address and browser identifier) and, per question, the time, a question id, the estimated number of words processed, the model, the price and the amount. Credits are bought through Stripe, our payment processor: we receive the pack, the amount and whether it was paid, never card or bank details. When a person buys credits for an agent with the form on the payments page, the agent's account goes to Stripe with the payment. When an agent pays with signed mandates, we also keep the fingerprint of the key that signed them and a one-way hash of the mandate, with the purchase. When unspent credits are refunded, we keep the refunded amount, Stripe's reference of the refund and which person at TrooIDs approved it. These records are bookkeeping records and are kept for seven years, as the law requires. People who use the Ask box or the voice button do not pay and are not counted here.
Messages from AI agents. When an AI agent leaves a message through /api/agent/message, we store what it sends (the agent's name, on whose behalf, a reply address, the intent and the message) in our own store to reply, under the same retention as registration messages.
The voice button. When you press “Talk to us”, your voice travels over an encrypted connection directly to OpenAI (GPT-Live), which turns speech into text and back; the text of the conversation is answered by an OpenAI model from this site's knowledge. OpenAI acts as our processor under its API terms. We record nothing and store nothing about the call except a daily count of calls; your microphone is used only while the call is on.
Page feedback. At the end of most pages we ask “Was this page useful?”. When you answer, we store which page it was, your answer (yes or no), the month, and — only if you write one — your comment, after email addresses, IBANs and phone numbers have been removed from it. With it we store a one-way code of a random number that your browser makes for that one page view, so that a changed answer replaces the first one; your browser keeps nothing, and we store no IP address, no cookie and no exact time. Please do not write your name or other personal details in a comment. We read the answers to improve the pages; they are deleted after 12 months, and at most 500 answers are stored per day. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving this site.
Text messages (SMS). When you text our number +31 97 010 268 175, we store your phone number, your text and when it arrived, and we forward it by email to the person who answers it. When we text you, we store your number, when we sent it and how many message parts it had. If you reply STOP, we store your number with that choice and send you no further SMS until you reply START; we keep that choice for as long as it is needed to respect it. The messages travel through our SMS provider Zadarma. Other SMS records are deleted after 12 months. Legal basis: answering your request, or our legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to us.
What we count. Anonymous totals, nothing about you. (1) Page views per page per day and per country, taken from the statistics our host Cloudflare already keeps; we read only totals. (2) Five kinds of named moment, each counted as +1 on that day's total: a registration form sent, the podcast started, the interactive picture scrolled to its end, an answer received in the Ask box, and a visit that arrives from an AI answer engine (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini or Claude, counted per engine; your browser recognises the engine from the address of the page you came from, and that address is never sent). When one happens, your browser sends only the name of that moment to our own server; no cookie, no identifier, no IP address and no page address is stored with it. The workbench sends nothing. Two moments at exactly the same time may count as one, so the totals are a lower limit.
Printed codes. A flyer or poster can carry a short address such as trooids.com/p/572-40. When you open one, our server adds +1 to that code's total for the day and sends you on to the page. Only the code and the day are stored; no cookie, no identifier, no IP address. Visits by automated browsers are not counted.
What we don't do. No cookies, no trackers, no analytics or advertising scripts from third parties, no profiling, no transfer to third parties for their own purposes. Hosting: Cloudflare (edge network with a data processing agreement); Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security for a limited time.
