Data
Everything starts with individual-controlled data. The individual controls the fundamental informational resource.
A slowly turning double helix of light points — your data — around which small nodes connect and disconnect: everything you authorise can connect (Nexus), and every connection adds to what already exists (Amplifier). Decorative; the text on this page carries the meaning.
Digital DNA — the individual as the sovereign node
Your data. Your intelligence. Your agents. Your rules.
Digital DNA moves the fundamental layers of the digital world from platforms to individuals — a personal digital environment designed to understand, decide, connect and act exclusively on your behalf.

One fundamental change
Today, your digital life is fragmented across hundreds of companies. Each holds part of your data, runs its own algorithms, sets its own rules and optimizes for its own interests.
Digital DNA reverses the architecture.
You become the source of truth.
The backbone
Everything starts with individual-controlled data. The individual controls the fundamental informational resource.
Everything you authorize can connect. Dynamically, to people, services, agents, organizations, knowledge and opportunities.
Every additional connection, application, verification and reuse can increase the utility of what already exists. Information is not consumed by use.
Agent of One architecture
It knows the information you authorize it to know. It understands your objectives, preferences, constraints, history, context, permissions, values, tasks and intentions.
It works for you rather than for the company providing the interface.
For the first time, your digital agent can have only one principal: you.
An Agent of One is the architecture we are building toward. Today you can try one bounded piece of it on sample data — grant, watch a refusal, revoke, register your interest and follow the first cohort.
Alignment
You → platform → algorithm → outcome
The algorithm may appear to serve you while simultaneously serving advertising revenue, engagement, platform retention, commissions, corporate objectives and third-party interests. That creates a principal-agent problem.
You → your agent → outcome
The principal and the digital representative become much more closely aligned.
Maximum · General · Verifiable
The system should expose, where technically feasible and appropriate:
Start with this site: every claim about how it is built is verifiable on How this site was built.
Anti-rival
More users → more data → stronger platform → stronger moat → greater platform power.
More participants → more data availability under individual control → more connections → more applications → more verification → more reusable knowledge → greater utility for participants.
The network effect doesn't have to be captured by the owner of the network. It can accrue to the network's participants.
Beyond apps and gates
A person doesn't fundamentally need an app. They need a result.
"Find the best electricity contract for my circumstances."
The personal environment can invoke whatever functionality is required — without another account, another app, another silo, another profile, another database holding your information.
Why should digital functionality have to live inside somebody else's gate at all?
Browser extensions live behind browser ecosystems. Apps live behind app stores. GPTs live within AI platforms. Creators live within social platforms. Sellers live within marketplaces.
Make functionality portable, discoverable, callable and verifiable independently of the platform that originally hosted it.
Create → Read → Update → Deprecate
Link → Challenge → Validate → Falsify → Correct → Fork → Combine → Reuse
That connects the innovation to the scientific method. Knowledge becomes connected and independently challenged instead of trapped in platform silos.
Local-first
One person. One source of truth. Unlimited authorized uses.
Data stays local or under an individual's exclusive control whenever possible; computation comes to the data rather than unnecessarily sending data to centralized databases. The privacy model changes from "Give us your data and trust our security" to "We don't need possession of it."
Today one person can have hundreds of fragmented versions of themselves — Google knows something, a bank knows something, government, Amazon, healthcare, employer, browser, phone — and no actor, including the individual, has the complete relevant context at the moment a task requires it.
We cannot remember everything we know. We cannot instantly determine which information matters now. We cannot process all relevant combinations. We cannot continuously act on everything simultaneously. AI can potentially do all four — recall → select relevance → process → act — but only with the appropriate data. That makes user-controlled data + AI much more powerful than either alone.
Economics
Supply → advertising → targeting → persuasion → consumer
Individual intention → agent → market query → competing supply → matching → individual
Once supply and demand can find one another through open Nexus infrastructure, the intermediary doesn't necessarily need to own the customer, the customer data, discovery, ranking, identity, the payment relationship or the communication channel. That attacks the economic basis of many gatekeepers — the end of the platform tax.
Permissionless sending. Consensual receiving.
A legitimate sender can address you without buying permission from a platform — but you decide, through your rules and your agent, whether a message arrives at all, whether it is evaluated, whether your agent filters it, and whether it ever receives your attention. Addressability is not delivery, and delivery is not attention.
Capital
Physical capital → machinery
Human capital → knowledge
Financial capital → scalable enterprise
Data capital + compute → scalable intelligence
Data is becoming a fundamental form of productive capital because AI converts data into intelligence, predictions, decisions and actions. If individuals control the data capital, the economics of AI can develop very differently from a world in which several corporations aggregate most of it.
Your data + your AI → personalized intelligence
All your data + your AI + functionality + permission → personalized agency
Digital sovereignty → information sovereignty → AI agency → better matching → reduced gatekeeper dependency → stronger individual bargaining power → changes in markets and institutions
First make the digital world individually sovereign; then physical institutions increasingly have to respond to individually sovereign digital actors.
Architecture first
individual control · portability · permissions · interoperability · local/private processing · provenance · verification · identity · open protocols
Blockchain is not the innovation. It may or may not be useful for particular components; a decentralized identifier (DID) is an optional later step, never the core.
For you
Individuals register interest in an Agent of One. Organisations and investors open a conversation about a potential pilot.
What happens next: we reply within two working days. Individuals are invited when a first cohort opens. Organisations and investors get a conversation about a potential pilot.
Questions
No. The innovation is architectural: individual control, portability, permissions, interoperability, local processing, provenance and verification. A decentralized identifier is an optional later step.
With you. The architecture is local-first: computation comes to your data; we don't need possession of it.
Not yet. Today: this site, its knowledge bundle and the contact facility. Register your interest; individuals are invited when a first cohort opens. Pilots with organisations are proposed next steps.
Through its exposure ledger: what information was used, what permissions existed, what objective was optimized, which agent acted, what happened, who was contacted, why, under which rule, and what the result was.

Yes. The knowledge bundle at /knowledge follows the Open Knowledge Format (OKF v0.2); /llms.txt lists it; the page declares WebMCP tools for browsers that support them.
