AI chat (the Ask box)

What it is

A box on the home page where you type a question about TrooIDs. An AI model answers it from this site's own knowledge pages only, and names the pages it used. When the knowledge does not hold the answer, it says so and gives the address info@trooids.com.

AI agents can ask the same question without the page, at /api/ask. Questions and answers are not stored and no cookie is set.

Why it matters

• Rank 1 of 100 in the TrooIDs channel ranking, with a score of 18.45.
• Both models put it in the top class: 80% or more of companies would open it.
• When an AI agent runs this channel, both models agreed it also does the work of: booking and calendar scheduling, file uploads by visitors, surveys and feedback widgets, language and region selection.

What TrooIDs built

A stricter version of the Ask box, built and tested on our test copy of the site:

• a money guard: an answer that names an amount of money which is not in the knowledge is replaced by the "I don't know" answer;
• sources are kept only when the page exists in the knowledge;
• earlier answers that a caller sends back count only when they carry the site's own signature, so a forged conversation is dropped;
• the daily limits on the larger models are counted with one safe write per question.

Proof status, in three parts

• Live on this site: you can check it on trooids.com now.
• Fixture: built and tested with sample data on our test copy of the site; it is not running on trooids.com.
• Architecture: designed or required, not built here yet. Items marked "Owed" are still to do.
